Watch Out for Planterbeds[.]com Scam

Planterbeds[.]com purports to be an online store that sells women’s clothing. Unfortunately, all Planterbeds offers is an empty promise and the risk of monetary and/or identity theft. This is a SCAM. There are similar scam sites to Planterbeds, such as Planterbox and costcowholesale[.]com. One thing they share in common is basing their logo on the legitimate Costco one — in an effort to lend an air of authenticity. For more details, read on. 

There are several red flags with this website. Firstly, our friends over at ScamAdviser have awarded Planterbeds a shockingly low score of 1/100. That verdict is not surprising when we consider the following red flags: 

• The website is very young – last year. 
• Much of the content is duplicated, including product pictures and policy statements. 
• There are suspiciously high discounts. 
• There is no contact phone number – just email. 
• There are no reviews. 
• There is no social media presence — other than netizens warning about the scam! 
• The website’s owner is hiding their identity on WHOIS. 

In summary, there are many red flags with Planterbeds, ones that we are used to observing when it comes to similar scam retail websites. Best advice: do your homework and shop elsewhere.
